The Kindergarten children were very excited to be going on an excursion to Glen Street Theatre to see 'The very hungry Caterpillar' show. It was an exciting puppetry performance of three of Eric Carle's works. The children watched on with awe as the puppeteers brought the stories of Brown Bear, the Very Hungry Caterpillar and Ten Little Rubber Ducks to life.

The excursion complements the Kindergaten units of work this term in science and technology, where they are learning about 'living things'. We have also been learning about ficiton and non fiction books in English, comparing and contrasting Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Big Book of Bugs reference book. Additionally, our Creative Arts unit this term is focussed on animals.

We had such a fun afternoon at the theatre with the show being a memorable touchstone for lots of our learning to come!
